The Fryatt Street Skate Park is a DIY project by a group of Dunedin’s most passionate skaters, seeking to create more spaces that are free and accessible to all. Street art and skate culture have always gone hand in hand, so when the guys from Fryatt Street asked me to throw something up there was no hesitation.

Painting day fell on Heritage Day in my home of South Africa, so the black mamba, the signature thorn trees of Mbombela and the bright blue African sky felt like the clear choice.
